Upgrading SalesCart

Upgrading SalesCart to a new version of SalesCart does not affect or change any Web sites that you have previously built. Installing a new version of SalesCart affects only future shopping cart Web sites that you create.

Refer to the chapter entitled Getting Started and skip this Chapter if you are not upgrading from a previous version of SalesCart.

Warning! Before starting this process, you should make a backup of your existing shopping cart Web site. This process will permanently change and replace many of the files that currently exist on you Web site.

There are three steps to the upgrade process:

1. Un-installing the existing version
2. Installing the new version
3. Upgrading your existing SalesCart Web

Steps 1 and 2 are described in the sections titled Un-installing a Trial or Previous Version of SalesCart or SalesCart and Installing the Executable File, and are not repeated here.

Step 3 is described below.
