Downloading the Orders

Your orders are stored in a database which, unlike a flat-file text database, can be password protected and further encrypted. If you have plug-ins such as the Order Management plugin, or a third party processing system, then you can download your order database differently and should not follow this section.

1. In Macromedia, publish or FTP (File Transfer Protocol copy) your Web site files or specifically the /fpdb/shop.mdb to your local computer hard drive.

Warning!: We recommend that you never download or view the original shop.mdb file directly off an ISP/WPP Web site over a standard 56K baud modem connection, doing this may corrupt the database. We recommend that you never edit the shop.mdb database over anything less than a 10-BaseT connection.
