Increasing the shipstate Field Size in the Customer Table
Some international post offices require a larger letter state/province abbreviation.
For example: The Australia Post requires that the state of Victoria be abbreviated as Vic
- Double-click to open the shop.mdb file located in the fpdb folder from Windows Explorer. This will open the database in Access.
- Maximize the Shop Database screen.
- From the Objects frame, select Tables.
- Highlight by clicking once on the Customer table and click on Design from the Access task bar.
- Click once in the shipstate field and then change the Field Size located in the General tab to a larger number.
- Save your changes.
You can now enter an abbreviation equal to the number of letters you have increased it by.
