Last updated: Sunday November 13, 2005.
SUMMARY
This article is a step by step guide to installing SalesCart. For Windows '95 /
'98 O.S. based machines.
Note: Prior to installing SalesCart make sure you have
the latest Microsoft Personal Web Server (PWS) installed. To determine the version of PWS
that you are using open the PWS interface, and select 'Help / About'.
If you are a Windows '98 user, and installed the PWS that came with Win.'98 or
if it was automatically installed by your computer manufacturer then your PWS is up to
date and you should skip this step and "do not" up date your PWS.
The PWS that is installed by default with Front Page '98 is not the latest version, and
could cause errors. If you installed the PWS that came with Front Page '98, you need to
uninstall it and install the versions as noted above. The
Personal Web Server installed with FrontPage '98 is no longer a supported PWS option for
SalesCart. You must have PWS version 4.0 which comes with Win. '98 or Microsft Option Pack
4.
If you are a Windows '98 user, and installed the PWS that came with Win. '98 then your
PWS is up to date.
- For Windows '95 users who want to install the latest version of

web site . Choose 'Personal Web Server for Windows '95'. If you have problems contact
Microsoft, unlimited Front Page technical support the number is 425-635-7088.
- If you are a Windows '98 user, and you did not install the PWS that came with Win. '98,
you can go to the Win. '98 control panel, select 'Add / Remove Programs', select 'Windows
Setup' then select the PWS from the 'Internet Tools' options.
