PRB:  My Store Link and Store Graphic does not show up on my Facebook Page

SYMPTOMS
 When you visit your Facebook Page, the Salescart App does not appear to be installed and neither the "Shop Now" link or the Shop graphic is displayed.

CAUSE
 This can happen if you forgot to click the Add button in Step 3 to add the SalesCart app to your page. It can also happen if you edited the settings of your Facebook page and mistakenly deleted the app.

RESOLUTION

This issue is easily resolved.  To resolve this problem do the following:

Step 1:  You must understand how to switch to using Facebook as YOU and using Facebook as your PAGE because if you are not in the proper Facebook mode, the following procedure will not work.  Please refer to Learn More and follow the process of switching back and forth and seeing how Facebook changes.

Step 2: First, confirm the SalesCart app information has not been changed or edited and the SalesCart app really is not on the Page.

  1. Open Facebook
  2. Login to Facebook and use Facebook as "Page" by clicking the down arrow in the far right, top hand side of the Facebook menu, and choosing the page name. This will switch the tiny avatar graphic in the middle of Facebook from your graphic to your Page's graphic.
  3. At the top of your Facebook Page, click on Settings
  4. Click on Apps on the left menu.
  5. Ensure SalesCart is NOT listed as an Added App.

Step 3:  If Step 1 shows that SalesCart is NOT Listed, add the SalesCart App as follows:

  1. Open Facebook
  2. Login to Facebook and SWITCH to use Facebook as "YOU" and NOT your page.  This will switch the tiny avatar graphic in the middle of Facebook from your Page's graphic to your regular Facebook graphic.
  3. Click on the following Link:  http://www.facebook.com/add.php?api_key=453183128105357&pages Note: If you receive a blank page, it is because you are using Facebook as "page" and not as "you".  Return to Step 1 and start over.
  4. If you are logged into Facebook correctly, Facebook will display a prompt: Add Page Tab with a drop down of pages you control.  The dialog will say:
    Select the Facebook Pages to add SalesCart to:
    Choose Facebook Pages
  5. From the drop down, select the page where you want to sell products or services and where you want the Shop graphic to be displayed and then press the Add Page Tab button.
  6. If you don't see the page in the list of pages then either SalesCart is already added to that page or the permission to modify that page is assigned to a different Facebook user.  Go back to Step 1 and login with the correct user or remove the SalesCart App first.
