SalesCart provides an improved Wizard-Driven Startup when you create a new SalesCart Web. This wizard can also be re-run to modify existing settings. The wizard gathers:
- Information about your database so that it can build a DSN-less connection to the database. It also gathers the username and password of your database.
- E-mail property information, including the E-mail address where customer and merchant receipts are to be sent, the email subjects for both the Customer email receipt and merchant order confirmation receipt, and the relative path to the email header.
- Checkout configuration including whether you would like to omit payment, shipping or tax calculations. Also select your International Settings, SSL checkout path, and Whole Order Discounting options. This allows SalesCart to compute a "whole order" discount for any purchases that are over a certain total value.
- Shipping Configuration including free shipping, minimum shipping charge, and handling fee options. Also options for configuration of your shipping charges (base on: weight, value, quantity, etc.) or Whole Order shipping options. Seven different order methods are supported.
- Tax Configuration including options for applying state/province taxes and/or country/county taxes. Options also available to allow for applying tax to shipping charges and using the Bill to instead of the Ship to for tax calculations.
- Enter up to five Whole Order Coupons directly through the SalesCart Wizard!
- Generic information about your company, Multi-Option Pricing, and options for setting up the OANDA-FX Currency Convertor and HumanClick Real-time Chat directly through the SalesCart Wizard.
