How to Save a Page if Using Shared Borders or Themes

If you want to use a theme or a shared border on a page that has an .asp extension, you can do so by following the steps below:

  1. Rename the file with an htm extension.
  2. Answer Yes to the question, "If you change a filename extension, the filename may become unusable. Are you sure you want to change it?"
  3. Answer Yes to the question,"There are 1 pages that have hyperlinks to this page. Do you want to update these pages so that the hyperlinks will not be broken?
  4. Apply your theme or border to the file in htm and save.
  5. If the file contains asp code (say there's an Include within a Product Page for example), rename the file with an .asp extension answer the questions as in steps 2 and 3, and save. Otherwise leave as htm. Be sure to remove the themes from the merc-conf.asp file.
  6. Publish up.

You should now be able to see the theme or shared border when accessing the site with a browser.
