3. Web Hosting Server Settings

Of all the gateways that SalesCart supports, CyberSource is the most complex and most demanding from your ISP/Service Provider. A total of 15 separate .dlls make up the CyberSource gateway on your ISP's server. Your ISP/Service provider MUST support CyberSource and they must support the secure and recommended .dll COM object implementation.

CyberSource/Bank of America requires that your ISP or web hosting company support the following Dynamic Link Libraries on the server where your Web site is hosted on. These .dlls are provided by CyberSource and represent the actual CyberSource gateway. If you ISP does not have these files installed then they do not support CyberSource. If your ISP refuses to install these files, then they refuse to support CyberSource. The most secure implementation and recommended implementation by CyberSource is via the use of these .dlls as is typical of gateways requiring .dlls.

Your ISP will need to register the CyberSourceWS.dll and CybsWSSecurity.dll. We provide all of these .dlls within the Wizard cgi-bin file structure which you may provide to your ISP to install. They will need to located the binaries into a /system32 or shareable path directory and register them with the following commands:

If your ISP is unable to install these .dlls, they will need to contact CyberSource for support.

In addition, to these Cybersource .dlls, CyberSource requies server support for MSXML 4.0, sp2. At the time of the writing of this document, this was the most recent release of XML. Since it is the most recent release of XML, you ISP may or may not yet support this. In all liklihood, this version of XML would install by default in the next release of IE, version 7.0 or later. In the meantime, your ISP, will need to download this latest release of XML for Microsoft.

Information on supporting and installing the CyberSource COM object is available from CyberSource at http://www.cybersource.com. ComCity and SalesCart does not support software created, sold and supported by a third party. If these dlls do not properly installed, the transaction processing Bridge will not work properly.
